What is Giclee (Zhé-KLAY) Printing?

Giclee Printing uses high resolution printers and pigments to produce prints with exceptional attention to detail and color accuracy. Details like subtle color changes and, gradients can be beautifully captured with Giclee printing. This method uses 8 to 12 pigment color channels to process more color information than traditional printing (3 to 4 color channels) allowing for richer color results 

Specialized inks for superior color accuracy, longevity and fade resistance 

Archival papers These prints are typically printed on high quality acid free papers for even more color vibrancy and overall quality

Versatility High quality color matched prints can still be printed on a variety of mediums including matte or glossy paper, poster, canvas, metal, wood and more. 

Environmental Impact Giclee printing often uses water based color pigment which is less harmful than solvent based inks used in traditional printing 

Quality and Durability Giclee printing offers a superior color reproduction process, resulting in vibrant, accurate, and long-lasting prints with a wider range of colors than traditional printing methods. The quality and integrity of these prints can last decades up to a lifetime  

How to Print Giclee Many online and local printing service providers offer this print style as it has been the gold standard for fine art, printing since the early 90s. Giclee printing is readily available internationally. You can also search Giclee printing with your postal code for possible in-store pick up options

Disclaimer Digital art prints from Mihavani’s Place are still possible at home or using traditional printing methods but, may result in lower overall quality and/or color accuracy. Art with less vibrant colors, minimal detail, texture or shading may be suited for at-home or traditional print methods but, Giclee is always best
